Wolf Hat

David debuted his new wolf hat at the State v. Ga. Tech game. He needed it, since the weather was cold!

David absolutely loves books. He likes turning the pages and pointing to his favorite pictures. He likes hearing you read the stories and make truck and animal sounds. His favorite books are anything with construction equipment (Digger), trains (I Love Trains), cars (Cars and Trucks and Things that Go), Dr. Seuss (Do Dogs Go, Where is My Mother), and cute animals and babies (Baby's Best Friend). We have a lot in the Morgan Library at our house, and we also check out a lot from the library. David also likes to look at the Nintendo circa 1985.

Wake County Libraries Reading Festival

We went to the Wake County Public Libraries Reading Festival at one of the local Raleigh parks. This was a festival sponsored by the libraries with different tents set up with readers reading stories, as well as hayrides, animals, and crafts. David loved the hayride and kept saying "truck" and pointing! He also loved the goats that were out at the park. We were trying to figure out what sound goats make. He also got to sit on a tractor and enjoyed that.

Beach

We had a fun beach weekend - David liked playing in the sand and building sand castles!

WCBA Picnic and Racetrack

We went to the Wake County Bar Association annual Family picnic and had a great time. It was held out at Lake Wheeler Park, and there was bbq, bouncy houses, clowns, ice cream, and more. Afterwards we stopped by the Wake County speedway with HJ and Henry so that David could have a peek. He loved seeing the racecars!

David's 1st birthday party!

David had a wonderful first birthday party!! We had it at our house and did a train theme. The main cake was decorated with a train engine on top and train cars around the sides. David's smash cake had a "1" on it. He was a little hesitant about the cake at first, but later ate a lot of it! We had a great time celebrating with friends and family!! David and his friends, including Whit, Henry, Finn, and Lena played with the train, and David had fun opening his gifts!! He got some very nice things, including cars, a fun bath toy, a rocking cow, a water table, books, games, a musical keyboard, and more!! He has been enjoying playing with everything! We had so much fun celebrating David's first year!!
