We went to the Easter Egg hunt at Shelley Lake. They had a fire truck on display that David loved! He didn't really like the Easter bunny as much :) He colored some Easter pictures and hunted for eggs. There were a good number of kids there despite the weather!
We met Kim and Whit at the NC State farm off Lake Wheeler Road for NC State Farm Days! The boys saw lots of animals and tractors and got some free Howling Cow ice cream. We ate at the Farmer Market restaurant for lunch afterwards!
David's morning preschool class had an Easter egg hunt on the state capitol building grounds! It was a lot of fun. David found one of the truck eggs we brought first, and he kept carrying that around everywhere. We helped him spot and pick up the Easter eggs.
David loved running around all the trails and mazes in the azalea gardens. He loved chasing mama and dada around, then hiding around the corner yelling boo! He liked seeing the "shiny balls" that were garden sculptures there. 
Here is David enjoying some outside time in the yard with the flowers. He loves carrying his trucks around everywhere! 
We decorated our crepe myrtle trees in the front yard as "Easter egg trees!" Mom used to decorate our tree in Lenoir like that too. David likes to look at, point, and bat at the Easter eggs. The other neighborhood kids like to look at them too.
We went to Pullen Park with Nana and Papa, and David had a great time! He rode the choo choo, the boats, the carousel, and played on the playground on the slides and see saw and riding horses. It was a nice day out! Here are also some pictures of David in Nana and Papa's yard - on Papa's new patio and with Nana in the azaleas.
David and I went to a special storytime presented by the NC Museum of Natural Science. David got to see a lizard, snake, gator, and giant cockroach. He seemed to like them, but was mostly interested in his truck books.
David has been enjoying lots of outdoor time now that the weather is so nice! He loves drawing with chalk on the driveway - especially loves when we draw pictures of trucks for him to dance and stomp on. He still likes pushing his airplane up the street and visiting with the neighbors. He wore a State shirt to celebrate State making it to the NCAA sweet sixteen! David also likes playing with his water table and his swing. He also likes visiting playgrounds and riding on the trucks and swings there.
We went to the St. Patrick's Day parade in downtown Raleigh. It was a lot of fun, and David liked the fire trucks, monster trucks, and pretty much anything with wheels. We all wore green!
