Week 41

Here we are at Week 41! It looks like we will be induced tomorrow, Sept. 2nd, so it's almost time to meet the baby! We will keep everyone posted. Thanks for all the comments and support!

Officially overdue!

Week 40 - Happy Due Date!

The due date is here! And baby is not! :) He will come when he's ready though. Dr. set induction date for Sept. 2 if he isn't here before then. I took this picture today on the due date (put on my same outfit for the pic even though I stopped working on Mon.). Still feeling good and enjoying the last few days of the pregnancy!

Week 39

1 week until the due date! I'm still feeling pretty good and am trying to rest up and get ready for baby. We got the mobile for our nursery and ordered a train collage and print that are on the way. Dr. thinks it could still be awhile before I deliver though. Baby should be here by Labor Day weekend!

Week 38

2 more weeks to go (or more!!) Baby is apparently pretty happy in there and hasn't shown any signs he is ready to come out yet! The dr. thinks it will be awhile still - probably near or after the due date. So the waiting game begins! Of course you never know though, so we are ready. The car seat is installed, the nursery is ready, the supplies are ready. So we will see what happens! He is considered full term now so any time he wants to come would be fine.
I am feeling pretty well! It figures this would be one of the hottest summers on record though! My reward will be a long maternity leave with baby during the fall - one of the nicest times of the year :)

Week 37

3 more weeks! It is hard to believe baby is due this month. Things are still going well, and I am trying to take it easy and finish up everything that needs to be done before the baby arrives! Baby is still moving around, although he is doing more "shifting" and "kicking" in place since he doesn't have much room left!

Week 36

Down to the home stretch with 4 weeks to go! We are putting the finishing touches on the nursery and got the train rug this week. I had a shower with law school friends and a lunch shower with work friends! I went to the Paramore concert downtown with my sister and mom and survived the heat! Jake and I visited pediatricians' offices to pick out a doctor and completed the pre-registration process at Rex. We are really excited, and it definitely feels like we are getting close now!

Week 35

Today marks 35/35 - 35 weeks pregnant and 35 days to go!! Can't believe we have just 5 weeks left until the due date. This past week has been busy. We had our babycare classes at Rex Hospital this week, where we will deliver. We took a breastfeeding class, a birthing/relaxation techniques class, and a babycare basics class. We also took a tour of the nursery and delivery wing. Jake participated in everything and was great! We are still working to finish up the nursery - we got our changing table and set it up, and got all the clothes put on hangers and organized. We organized all the books for the baby with "Morgan library" tags! Things are really starting to come together!

Week 34

6 weeks to go! Time is really flying by. Baby is still on track for his due date according to the doctor. We have our birthing and newborn baby care classes at Rex Hospital this weekend. We are finishing up the nursery and trying to get everything organized!!

Week 33

7 weeks left! Definitely feels like it's getting close now. Raleigh has had record highs of 102! Baby is moving a lot and kicking a lot. Still haven't picked a name!

Week 32

Only 8 weeks left to go! I am still feeling good. It has been very hot here in Raleigh this week, so I've mostly been staying inside. The baby is still moving around and kicking a lot. I think he is running out of room in there though!

Week 29 - at least most of the weight is in the belly!

Week 28 and no denying the belly now!

Week 27

Week 27 and beginning of third trimester! Definitely showing now - belly has popped. I am more tired this trimester than second, but still feeling good! This was around Memorial Day weekend. Maternity suit (black and white polka dot tankini) is in full use.

Week 26

Week 26: definitely a bump now, and this week marks the end of the second trimester!

Week 25

Week 25 and the belly is coming out. Belly button began to pop out somewhere around this point too. I had to get some bigger yoga clothes for my work yoga class! I am still walking on the treadmill or at Shelly Lake, but not running.

Week 24

Happy Cinco de Mayo from the little taquito! I enjoyed Mexican food, although I don't like food as spicy as I did before I was pregnant. I still like sweets more than salty, which is a change from usual.

Week 23

Definitely looking rounder now! In the maternity suits. Maternity clothes are very comfortable with all the elastic - it will be hard to go back to regular!!
