David got a new indoor slide that he likes sliding down! He also likes using it as a truck ramp and launching his cars and trucks at full speed. David had a playdate with Whit the other day at Whit's house, and they had fun playing with different toys, cars, and trucks. David looks extremely cute in his Christmas jammies, and he likes rocking by the fire.
David helped trim the tree! He liked finding the choo choo ornaments and helping put them on the tree. David and his daddy look alike when reading the paper and watching tv!
David saw another Santa at the First Baptist Church Christmas party, but he didn't like that one either.
Santa also visited the Williams Mullen office. David still wasn't too impressed with Santa even when Santa offered him a tractor, :) but he had a nice time hearing stories, running around he halls, and seeing all the action. He even got some candy.
We went to the Holiday Express at Pullen Park on Sunday! It was a lot of fun, except David didn't like Santa. The expression on Santa's face is priceless. This Santa was very realistic, even drinking a bottled Coke. Poor David though did not want to sit on Santa's lap at all. Maybe next year! David really enjoyed the lighted choo choo ride that went around the park. We got to see a lot of lights set up around the park. David also enjoyed his carousel ride. This time he rode a pig. Overall, it was a fun time, even though it was very crowded and cold!
We've gotten the tree up and gotten the house all ready for Christmas! The stockings are hung and the lighted deer are outside. David says "dee" when he sees them. He likes to look at the tree and find all the "choo choo" ornaments. He also points at the choo choo on our mantle. Here are some shots of David hanging out at home!
We had a great trip to Pullen Park for my birthday! It was another beautiful day (shorts weather!). We enjoyed the park, and it was a lot like I remembered from when I was little. We rode the train (long line), and the carousel. David liked the train and kept pointing and going "choo choo" when he would see it go by. David also enjoyed playing on the playground equipment and the red caboose. He also liked practicing his walking skills on the grassy areas near the lake. He would point at the paddleboats and say "boat" (or something close to it!). It was a great day, and I had a great birthday!
