To the beach!

David met his great grandmother Nannie this weekend and enjoyed his visit with her! We also enjoyed the visit. I also had a great 31st birthday! We went out to eat at Captain Petes at Holden that night which was very good. Jake and crew caught 3 huge king mackerels - their biggest haul yet.

Happy Thanksgiving part 2!

We had Thanksgiving with the Allen family on Friday, and everyone of course loved seeing David! We had breakfast, then good turkey, K and Mike's special sweet potatoes, and pumpkin pie and birthday cake for the triple birthdays! We are thankful for David this year!

Fall Days

David enjoys being outside and looking at all the fall leaves. He likes to ride in his stroller and take in all the sights. We had really warm weather in the 70's this past week, so we took advantage of being outside a lot. This picture was taken in our backyard with our Fireglow Japanese maple.

Getting big!

David is getting really big! He is 24 inches long (75th percentile) and weighed 14 pounds, 4 ounces (90th percentile) at his 2 month doctors appointment (which actually took place at about 2.5 months. He is doing great - has great head control and can lift his head up at a 90 degree angle. He is really proud of himself! He looks around at everything in the room like he can't wait to crawl around and get into it. David likes for us to carry him around everywhere so he can look out. He clings to our arm and its really sweet!

State Beats Carolina!

David cheered on the Pack to victory over Carowhina! 4 in a row baby!

Wolfpack baby

David enjoyed the Wolfpack's big win over the Demon Deacs. He especially enjoyed his new fleece hoodie with bear ears and his red and white striped pants, courtesy of his Demon Deac (and Wolfpack alum) aunt K!

Weekend

David dressed in his State jersey to watch State's away game at Clemson. Unfortunately State didn't play well and lost, hence why David is sleeping :) David also played with his toys and visited the NC train show at the state fairgrounds, where he saw all the model trains set up (well, he didnt really see them since he slept the whole time!)

Mr. Octopus

David loves playing on his ocean playmat and furiously kicking at Mr. Octopus above! He makes octopus move by kicking the aquarium on the side. He is starting to hold and pull the rattles too.

2 Months Old!

Happy 2 month birthday to David on November 3rd! David weighs almost 14 pounds now and is our "little chunk!" He is pictured here in his polar bear outfit. He is a really happy, good baby. He is starting to get a lot more hair in - looks like he is going to be a little brunette! He has accomplished the 2 month milestones including:

*raising up into pullup
*rolling over from tummy to back repeatedly
*social smiling and laughing, even some cackles
*some interest in toys - will grip and grab an object placed in hand
*interest in mobiles and toys with faces

He still has some of the cute newborn characteristics like throwing up his hands when he gets started and burrowing his face in my neck and chirping when he is waking up.

What will month 3 have in store?!

Election Day!

Jake and I (and David) voted!

Playtime

David loves playtime, which happens many times throughout the day! He gets bored with things pretty easily, so we have to rotate all his toys. He loves the playmat and is starting to bat at objects and grip the toys. He lays on his back and kicks really hard while looking at the octopus on top. He also does tummy time. Today he rolled over from tummy to back 6 times in a row. He pulls his head up and does a push up. He's getting really strong. David also likes to look and laugh at the colorful giraffe toy that has bells in it. He also likes to be carried around the house in the sling or baby bjorn and likes to look out where he is going.
